I met Tom through Johnny GG. We spent a lot of time chatting when not at work, that was until he took over Legion- then we didn't see him so much! He was really in his element. These pics are from a partol in North-west Kandahar province. Tom had recently assumed command and was working hard to get to know his men. He was a good leader and soldier and did his utmost to accomplish his mission and look after his men. However, the one story I remember most was when a few of us were talking, or rather joking around. Someone said to Tom "Show us your war-face." He just smiled and said "I'm a Dad, I don't have a war-face." He was really proud of his family.
I am so sorry for your loss. Tom will be missed.
